Collection: Nobels

While Nobels have released many other good products, the one that they are famous for is no doubt the green overdrive pedal designed by Kai Tachibana in 1991-92, namely the Nobels ODR-1 Overdrive pedal, which is now one of the most famous and loved overdrive pedals in the world.

When now legendary Nashville session guitarist Tom Bukovac discovered the ODR-1 it immediately became his favorite overdrive pedal. Tom Bukovac sang its praises and spread the word about the ODR-1 among the Nashville session scene guitarists, where it quickly became a favorite and mainstay on many of the greatest guitar players boards.  

The rest is history and the ODR-1 is now widely known as the "Nashville overdrive" or as the "Secret Weapon" among studio players. These days any session player worth his salt has at least one ODR-1 in his arsenal.
