The JAM Pedals Fuzz Phase BLACK LTD is a point-to-point fuzz, entirely build by hand in Athens Greece, that rivals the best of the best of vintage Fuzzes. It's like a love letter to the very best raw, expressive and soulful fuzz tones of the late '60's. Use your guitars volume pot go from expressive wailing, raw and rude fuzz tones to a perfect clean-up tone for sparkling Hendrix style fills or chord stabs.
The JAM Pedals Fuzz Phase LTD utilizes an extremely rare stach of NOS OC44 Phillips black glass OC44 transistors, manufactured in 1969 and individually tested and matched by ear, to get the best possible fuzz sound and clean-up. These legendary components are prized for their exceptionally low leakage, musical gain, and quiet operation—ideal for crafting a fuzz circuit that’s both aggressive and articulate. Black glass OC44 Transistor transistors are famed for their perfect tone.
Each unit is point-to-point hand-wired on a turret board and wrapped in luxurious black suede, staying true to our tradition of uncompromising craftsmanship. With vintage-spec carbon-comp resistors and tropical fish capacitors throughout the signal path, this fuzz responds musically to your playing and cleans up beautifully with your guitar’s volume knob.
Thanks to the remarkable stability of the OC44s, the internal bias is factory-set to 4.5V—no tweaking needed, just plug in and go.
