Cornerstone Antique Overdrive
The Antique is a truly wonderful, unique and addictive overdrive pedal, that although from the "Tube Screamer family" does so much more than just TS style drive.
Sounds
Depending on how you have the Mids switch and the controls set the Antique can sound like a perfect Tube Screamer or like a totally different boost and overdrive pedal.
So the Antique can like a regular Tube Screamer promote the well defined midrange and bluesy sound prominently featured by players like John Mayer and SRV - BUT it is equally at home doing an open, not mid-humped, transparent and extremely dynamic and touch sensitive overdrive.
This other side of the Antique is quickly making it a Staff and Customer favorite at ToneDoctor - in fact some of our customers tell us that they have taken their KOT's and Klon-style pedals off their boards after getting the Antique.
Controls
The controls are Volume, Gain, Tone, Presence and a "Mids" mini toggle switch.
The Gain control determines the amplification factor of the pedal, and thus the overall saturation and the Volume control acts as a master output control.
The Tone control manages the frequency content of the entire signal while the Presence control specifically shapes the high-end content. These two controls together with the mids switch, allow you to discover different sounds and colors.
Power requirement
The Antique requires a standard 9V DC Negative power supply only.
